We went to another event at a different park south of us. It was a bit of a drive out of our way but since it was open to the public free of charge, we drove down there but this time with plenty of time.
This park is newly finished with an amazing water facility ! The showers, the water playground next to the pool and the gazebos were great. The Architect in me kept taking notes and lots of pictures of what the facility offered, the finishes, even the trench drains in the pool deck!Nicolas had a great time switching between the water playground and the big pool.
There were crowds and crowds of children and adults. Besides the fun we had, we scored on new helmets, the sponsors -Kohls- were promoting bike safety and handing out free helmets to the kids and adults after a brief lecture on how to protect the brain from a fall.
The new helmet came in handy now that the half of the way to get home has to be on the bike and the scooter.
