Christmas Crack Recipe
From My Boy's Mom:
Chocolate Saltine Bars
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
1 package saltine crackers
1 package (2 cups or more) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven on 375. melt brown sugar and butter until boiling. Line up saltines
in a tight single layer on a foil covered cookie sheet. Pour boiled liquid over
the top. Put in oven for 8 minutes or so, until bubbly. Pour chocolate chips
evenly over the top put back in the oven for 2 more minutes. Once soft, spread
the chocolate with a spatula. Cool in freezer. You can also sprinkle crushed
peanuts on top or crushed candy canes to be more festive. Break it up into small
pieces once it is frozen. Best thing I ever tasted.

1 1/2 cups butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
Chocolate chips
sliced/chopped almonds
Preheat Oven to 400 degrees
Line a cookie sheet [10x15 or so] with unsalted soda crackers
In a saucepan, combine 1 1/2 cups of butter and 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
Bring to a boil.
Boil for three minutes, then pour over crackers.
don't forget to line the baking sheet with foil...I left that part out of my
recipe and it's kind of important
Place in preheated oven for five minutes.
Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over cracker mixture.
Sprinkle sliced or chopped almonds over chocolate.
Turn oven off, then place baking sheet back inside...just long enough to get the
chocolate melting.
Smooth chocolate out a bit with a wooden spoon. Chill for three hours, or until
set.
Break into chunks and EN-JOY!!!
